Sharing & Disclosure of Google User Data

When you sign in with Google or use Google-powered features (for example, Google Places), we may receive Google account information such as your name, email address, profile picture, and location information. We disclose or transfer Google user data only as described below.

  • Google: We share data with Google when required to provide Google-powered features (e.g. Places API). Google processes that data under its own privacy policies.
  • Service providers: We share Google user data with trusted service providers (for example Supabase for authentication and database services, analytics providers, and email providers) who perform services on our behalf under contract and only as necessary to provide the Service.
  • Legal and safety: We may disclose Google user data to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, Google user data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to usual confidentiality and data protection commitments.
  • With your consent: We will share Google user data with third parties when you provide explicit consent.

Data Protection and Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Google user data. These measures are designed to protect sensitive personal data and include, where applicable:

  • Encryption in transit: We use industry-standard transport security (TLS) to protect data transmitted between your device and our services.
  • Encryption at rest: Stored data is protected using encryption where supported by our infrastructure and providers.
  • Access controls: Access to production systems and Google user data is limited to authorized personnel on a least privilege basis and protected by authentication controls.
  • Vendor safeguards: We require our third-party service providers (such as Supabase and analytics vendors) to implement appropriate security controls and use contractual safeguards to protect data.
  • Operational controls: We maintain logging, monitoring, and periodic security reviews to detect and respond to security incidents.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain Google user data only as long as necessary to provide the Service, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Specific retention practices include:

  • Account data: Google account information (name, email, profile) is retained while your account is active and as otherwise required to provide functionality you request.
  • Deletion requests: You can delete your account or request deletion of your Google-connected data by using the account settings in the app or by contacting us at bonfireglobal@gmail.com. We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days. After deletion from active systems, copies of data may remain in backups for a limited period (for example, up to 90 days) before being purged.
  • Aggregated/anonymized data: We may retain aggregated or anonymized analytics data for longer periods for product improvement; this information does not identify you and is not treated as Google user data.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
